Pickleball in the Desert
Anyone who has ever visited Joshua Tree National Park can appreciate how unique it is. Its unique blend of the Mojave and Colorado desert ecosystems along with its incredible rock formations and interesting Yucca plants truly make it a spectacle. So, it's only fitting that this incredible park would play home to one of Ultra Base's more innovative installations.
The Challenge
Can you build a portable pickleball court in the middle of the desert? While the space was flat enough, how do you create a court that is typically made by pouring a huge concrete base and covering it with special acrylic coatings?
Enter Ultra Base. Using its innovative Foundation panels, our customer was able to simply find a big open area and lay down a base.
The Solution
Once the Ultra Base Foundation panels were laid in place, the customer put down the two-color, pre-painted, VersaCourt pickleball court from RG Event Services.
While the base system does not provide the exact same bounce as a concrete court, the VersaCourt pickleball court on UltraBase Foundation panels provided a safe, fun surface that everyone enjoyed.
