"I use Ultra Base panels underneath my tee lines to make it smoother and give better drainage. 15 years ago I noticed people were just putting stone dust down and putting this EZTee synthetic turf on top of it and it would eventually get wavy...so, I kind of re-engineered it (or maybe some people say over-engineered it). I used the concept of Ultra Base to say "you don't need (as much) stone." I still put a small stone base down and then I put the geofabric and I put the Ultra Base and that makes it nice and smooth and gives it added drainage. When it comes time to replace the EZTee, I don't have that burden cost of what's going on underneath. I'm cutting my cost and just replacing the top part."
